We want every child in our school family to feel happy, confident and ready to learn. Positive mental health is an important part of this, and we help children understand their feelings and how to look after themselves.
Through our PSHE lessons, whole‑school assemblies, and classroom mood boards, children learn to notice their emotions, talk about them, and explore healthy ways to manage how they feel. Some children may need a little extra support at times, and when this happens we work with the Allyance counselling service to provide individual help.
We encourage all children to share their worries, celebrate their achievements, and recognise the things that make them proud. This helps them build a balanced view of their experiences and develop resilience. Over time, they learn coping strategies that support them with challenges—both now and as they grow.
