Admissions are managed by the Cambridgeshire Admissions Team in line with local authority policy.
- Children start school in the September of the year they turn five.
- Applications open in October and close in early January.
- Priority is given to children living in our catchment area.
- Our PAN for Reception in September 2026 will remain at 15.
All applications must be submitted through the Cambridgeshire Admissions Department. A link to the application form is here.
Once your child has been offered a place by the local authority, the school will be in touch with you directly.
If applications exceed available places, the local authority will allocate places based on published criteria.
Appeals
Parents can appeal if a place is refused. We always aim to welcome village children where possible, while keeping class sizes manageable (Reception and KS1 classes cannot exceed 30 pupils). If you need to appeal, click here
Before Starting School
We work closely with families to ensure every child’s transition into school is smooth, happy, and exciting. Whether joining Reception or moving up through the year groups, our priority is to make children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
- Reception Parent Meeting: An introductory meeting will be held in June 2026.
- Stay‑and‑Play Sessions: New Reception children and their parents are invited to attend sessions in June 2026 to help them settle in.
- Home Visits: We carry out home visits for all children before they start Reception. These usually take place during the first few days of the Autumn term (September 2026).
