On Thursday 3rd July, Topaz Class enjoyed a trip to Hunstanton. In the morning, we visited the Sea Life Centre where the children initially learnt about starfish, sea anemones and crabs. All the children were given the opportunity to touch one of the starfish in the rockpool tank.
Next, we went to see the seals being fed. Unfortunately, one of their fish was stolen by a pesky seagull! The children enjoyed exploring the different tanks and admiring the different fish and other sea creatures. The big tank with the tunnel was very popular with display of sharks, rays and a turtle.
After lunch, which included an ice cream treat, we headed to the beach. The children had a great time playing on the beach – collecting shells, building sandcastles and digging holes were just some of the activities that kept them busy. It was great to see them playing so sensibly and working collaboratively to complete their activities. We had a great day out and had perfect weather for a day at the seaside. There were a lot of sleepy children on the bus on the drive back to school.
